Kia ora, my name is Petria Haigh, and I am proud to represent Aotearoa, New Zealand.
My heritage has shaped my values of mana, resilience, and community. Growing up in a nation rich in culture and connection has taught me to honour where I come from while striving to uplift others.
As a Swim School Manager, I work closely with tamariki and their whānau, helping children build confidence and life-saving skills. Empowering young people to believe in themselves is at the heart of what I do.
I am also a childhood cancer survivor. That journey has shaped my strength, deepened my compassion, and ignited my commitment to advocacy. Through aroha and shared courage, I support families walking a path I know too well.
To me, heritage is about legacy. It is about honouring those who came before us while creating a safer, stronger future for the next generation. I strive to embody the spirit of New Zealand women.
If given the opportunity to serve as Miss Heritage International, I will proudly represent Aotearoa with authenticity and heart. I will use my voice to advocate for children’s well-being, promote cultural appreciation, and empower young girls to believe that their background is their strength, not their limitation.
Ngā mihi nui.
